TOOLS TO FIGHT FRAUD IN THE ELDER PART OF OUR POPULATION

– TOOLS TO FIGHT FRAUD IN THE ELDER PART OF OUR POULATION

Over the next twenty years, it is anticipated that the number of Americans aged 65 and older will more continue to grow. By 2040 one if five Americans will be age 65 or older. Meanwhile, technological advances in our means of communication will continue to grow and change. Unfortunately, these two trends make for a ripe opportunity for fraudsters to try and take advantage of a growing elderly population.

As a community service, we have found an excellent blog post from SeniorAdvice discussing the dangers and means of avoiding and reporting elder fraud. We encourage our clients and former clients to stay aware of these trends and protect themselves in this regard.
